Tasha and Brandon are the lucky winners of our recent drawing for a Honeymoon trip for two: a 3-night stay at the Sands Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Tasha stopped by our booth at the Southern Bridal Show and Expo in Raleigh on April 19th, and registered for our drawing. Congratulations to the lucky couple!

Southern Bride & Groom Magazine hosted a customer lunch in early April at Sisters’ Garden & Catering Company in Raleigh. The “Southern Roots” theme included traditional southern fare, authentic Piedmont Blues music played by Island Sound DJs and Video along with a slideshow of some favorite photos, and table displays of past magazine covers completing the decor. Our providers for the luncheon were Barbara Clark of An Elegant Affair as consultant, Floral Dimensions for spring table arrangements, Paperwhites Press for invitations, Classic Party Rentals for linens, and Sweet Memories for mini-cupcake desserts.  Photos provided by Bella Rose Photography and SB&G.  

Forever Bridal puts together some of the biggest and most successful wedding shows in the area, and the Spring show on Sunday, April 19^th was no exception. There was an excellent turnout and many wonderful and creative vendor booths. Southern Bride & Groom was there to hand out magazines, jelly beans and advice to brides, mothers, and newly engaged couples.  We think our booth looked pretty snazzy, with the popular color combination of hot pink and green, and lovely floral arrangement by Fresh Affairs. The North Carolina Museum of History is holding its First Annual Bridal Expo on Thursday, April 16^th, from 6 to 9 p.m.  Guests can sample fine foods from caterers and cake designers and enjoy the elegant ambiance of the museum while meeting with planners, DJs, florists and more! Tickets are $5. www.ncmuseumofhistory.org
